Pre-releases for Spotify Premium Subscribers

General:
- American folk rock musician Lissie had her debut album Catching A Tiger available for about a week prior to its June 21 release.
- British artist Sia Furler, singer of the downtempo styled Zero 7, currently has her 4th album We Are Born available the entire summer prior to its scheduled September release.
- The American band Scissor Sisters had 5 tracks available from their third album Night Work for nearly a week prior to the release on June 28.

Spain:
- Enrique Iglesias has pre-released his latest album euphoria prior to its July 5 public release date.

Sweden:
- Swedish artist Oskar Linnros' solo debut Vilja Bli was made available a week before its June 9 release.
- The second album from British musician Taio Cruz Rokstarr was pre-released.
- Ozzy Osbourne's 10th studio album Scream was available to Swedish listeners a week before it June 23 release date.

UK:
- I Am Arrows have pre-released their forthcoming album Sun Comes Up Again prior to its public release on July 26.
- Kula Shaker had their new album Pilgrims Progress available to UK Premium subscribers for a week prior to the June 28 date.
- Zero 7 has a new collection RECORD available highlighting the group's first decade of recordings. The album was released a week later on June 28.
- Tiffany Page has an exclusive set of "Live Session EPs" available to Premium users.
- The new album form Tired Pony, The Place We Ran From is now available prior to the public release on July 5.
- I Blame Coco has 3 live tracks from the upcoming debut album The Constant. The public release date is July 11.

Spotify Notices of Competitions/Giveaways

Now that concert season is truly in gear, Spotify provided numerous posts regarding contests. Among those were:

General:
- RayBan and DrownedinSound.com are providing a chance to win an iPad for sharing your Summer playlist.
- Spotify provided 2 VIP passes to this year's Fib Heineken Festival in Spain. All you needed to do was submit your best Summer playlist along with a reason why you wanted to attend.

France:
- A chance to win tickets to see the Scissor Sister in concert in Paris on July 4.

Spain:
- A chance to win tickets to the Jason Derülo concert in Madrid on June 30 by submitting a playlist.

Sweden:
- A chance to win tickets to a secret Lars Winnerbäck rehearsal in Stockholm on July 4 prior to his 2010 Summer tour.
- A contest involving the creation of a max 20 song Twilight Saga themed playlist provided the winner with the chance to meet Twilight stars Kristen Stewart (Bella) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob) when they attended a Twilight Fan Event in Stockholm on June 21.
- Premium listeners had the chance to win a new and highly limited 12” vinyl by Chemical Brothers celebrating to the release of their latest album Further.

UK:
- A chance to win tickets to the iTunes Festival on July 16 to see Tiffany Page perform.
- A chance to win a pair of tickets to Tired Pony’s sold out live debut at the Forum in London on July 14.

Spotify Technical Updates

- Spotify partnered with TeliaSonera to make Spotify available to approximately Telia's 120,000 digital TV subscribers in Finland and Sweden. Spotify Premium subscribers that also have a Telia digital TV subscription now have an app available that provides a streamlined version of the music application. It can be used to listen to Spotify playlists on the TV screen via the remote control. See video below (in Swedish):

- Spotify released an updated version of their Sybian app the allows for the latest social updates, local file features, wireless synchronization, inbox and starred features for Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung compatible smartphones (including support for the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro and Nokia C5).
- An updated iPhone app supportting the latest iOS 4 and background listeng has been submitted to Apple for review.

Miscellaneous Spotify News

- Spotify's Stockholm office completed their move into new office space in the heart of the city. This follows the completion of the London team moving into their new Soho location a couple weeks prior.
